Kenya Ministry 2006 Trip

Conclusion of Whirlwind Tour

Dear Family and friends:

We have finally arrived back in Nairobi after traveling several thousand miles over bumpy Kenyan roads to all four corners of the nation. In the natural it was a hard trip but in the spirit in was heaven on earth. If heaven is any better than this we have a lot to look forward to.  We called it our "Victory Tour" as we have dedicated seven churches and property along with an orphan home.

We also discovered we have a newly started church that meets under a tree in one of the members front yard!  We pledged to get them a temporary tin roof one soon.  It didn't matter what time of day we arrived to churches full of people waiting for us to speak, consecrate the land and jump back in
the car and repeat the same process all over at the next stop.  It was like going from glory to glory and feeling like the Lord can't top this day and
then the next day He does!  The African people are so eager to please God that it seems there are no limits to what they can accomplish for the
Kingdom if properly equipped with teaching resources and buildings.  They have job training projects proposed, widow/orphan housing, and nursery
schools planned if resources allow.

Meeting the orphans at the Katie Ollie orphan home was the highlight of our week with them so surrounding us with love and attention.  When we met with them two years ago they were so shy they would only whisper back when asked a question.  This time they would joke and tease and speak so boldly about their schooling progress.  They all started out with the statement "I'm saved" and not only that but they seem so content and headed to adulthood with a good education and spiritual background!  God has so blessed! They crowded our car as we left and we felt like some teen idol pulling away from an adoring crowd which so special.

Last night started our three day leadership conference at Nairobi and they expected an attendance of 60 but have enrolled nearly 120 so far.  They have ridden crowded busses up to seven hours to be here many using their
last funds available to come.  So these  next three days will allow us to impart some needed leadership principles into a garden of potential for God's Word!  I could write a two page email about each day but it will have to wait for later as we have too much to share and our ride back to the Bible
College where the seminar is held will be here soon.

We love you all and we are doing very well and very much enjoy what we are seeing and doing!  Your prayers for strength and health are still providing us to do everything we have planned and far beyond.  Only one flat tire, a wheel bearing going out and solenoid failing (both not on the road
and were fixed by members in the congregation we were visiting),  and nearly hitting a Zebra on the road, have been deterrents.  Our jack didn't work so we had to  flag down a truck and borrow one.  But our schedule has only been off by an hour at most (which is a miracle in Africa), so the Lord is making much use of our time here.  Pray for our conference to go well as we meet pastors from other countries we have never met before as we are in 10 countries now in Africa, and have over 50 churches.  My mouse is falling apart so I had better close.

In His Grace,

Bro. Ron
